Leadership Success Profile 180 Assessment

LSP Essentials is a questionnaire based on the Leadership Success Profile (LSP) and must be completed by your manager and yourself. The LSP was recently revised by the State Services Commission, LDC and representatives from public sector agencies to describe the leadership attributes, capabilities and behaviours that will enable individuals to both lead their agencies and work with others to have an impact across the State Sector.  Your LSP can form the basis of your development and career conversation.

Genos Emotional Intelligence 360 Assessment

Emotional intelligence (EI) underlies our self-awareness, empathy, interpersonal effectiveness and resilience. Indeed, research indicates that developing emotional intelligence improves leadership effectiveness, increases employee engagement, and reduces occupational stress.

EI Leadership Competencies Model

You will be completing a 360° Emotionally Intelligent Leadership multi-rater assessment. Selecting appropriate evaluators for your 360 assessment is crucial to ensuring that you get the most out of this process. OPRA has developed the following guidelines to assist you with this:

  • When selecting your evaluators, ask yourself who is best placed to give accurate, constructive and honest feedback. Your evaluators should include at least one manager and three peers, and if appropriate, three direct-reports and three customers/suppliers/others.
  • If possible, try to select people who have seen you operate across a range of situations, with different people and across time.
  • ‍Select evaluators who you know will give some thought to completing this survey.
  • ‍It is important to get objective information. Therefore, try to refrain from only seeking feedback from people who you know will rate you favourably. Consciously seeking feedback from people who you struggle to build rapport with, or have experienced some conflict with in the past can also be beneficial to your professional growth. Remember, people’s perception is their reality.
  • ‍Be mindful that some of the people you would like to receive feedback from may be heavily committed to other activities or providing in-depth feedback for others. Rather than put undue pressure on these individuals, try to identify evaluators who you know will be able to dedicate time to this exercise. These rater assessments will need to be completed by Tuesday 16 August COB at the latest.
  • ‍Having selected your evaluators, contact these people directly (either face-to-face or by phone) by Wednesday 3 August COB to confirm that they want to be involved and are willing to provide honest, meaningful feedback. This will also help to gain their buy-in and commitment
